2025 Water Meter Switch Out

Starting November 3rd, 2025, the City of Rockville is performing a city-wide water meter replacement.

Every property owner on city water will receive letters from RMR Services to set up a time for their technician to come out and switch out the meters.

The Rockville City council voted unanimously to purchase the meters, converting the old meters that require Public Works to drive around and read the meters to Badger E-Series meters.

The Badger E-Series meters can be read remotely, eliminating the need to take physical readings. The homeowners will also be able to log into an app that allows them to monitor their own water usage and detect high usage from a running toilet or a leak in the basement. This could potentially result in savings for the homeowner and prevent a large, unexpected utility bill!
