The Sauk River Watershed District began an assessment of the Grand Lake shoreland in 2011 with funding provided by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.  All properties on Grand Lake were reviewed and scored for the three different zones along the shore; upland, shoreline, and aquatic.
